French Education Abroad 
(AEFE)

The AEFE is a government institution supervised by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is responsible for monitoring and managing the network of French schools abroad. With 496 schools in 137 countries, AEFE’s global network of member establishments enrols approximately 355,000 students each year.

Through the Québec school training program, these schools provide French-program education.

Some independent schools in Quebec are accredited by the AEFE. This accreditation certifies that the school's curriculum complies with the French education system's requirements, programs, educational objectives, and organizational rules.
These schools must also comply with the Quebec Education Program.
