Proudly celebrating its 171st anniversary this year, Villa Maria is a co-ed school providing over 1,600 students with a secondary education in two teaching sectors, one English and one French, along with a unique bilingual environment.

Villa Maria’s mission focuses on its students’ success through an innovative, effective and human teaching approach. Starting in the 2026–2027 school year, Villa Maria will introduce a new pedagogical model focused on student voice and choice.

Project-Based Learning (PBL) is based on the principle of placing projects at the heart of the learning journey, rather than viewing them as activities completed after concepts have been taught. The goal is to personalize learning while maintaining the structure and expectations of the ministry’s curriculum.

Shaping futures since 1854, Villa Maria has acquired a solid reputation and the quality of its teaching is widely recognized. Classified as a historic building in 1951, the School is located in enchanting surroundings and provides a motivating environment fostering the growth and development of its students.
